Since the two paradigmatic shifts of the 'practice turn' and the 'performative turn’ in the 20th century, the terms "performance" and "practice" have been central concepts and theoretical fields in the cultural and social sciences. This interdisciplinary anthology brings together texts on the interplay of "performance" and "practice" and examines the relevance of the performative in phenomena from dance, theater, sports, and everyday life.
Based on a conversation with choreographer Florentina Holzinger and Vincent Riebook and an examination of play reviews, my essay "Artistic Practices of the ‘Radical’. The example of the performance Schönheitsabend" is an attempt to examine and categorize artistic practices and to bring them into relation with the idea of the 'radical'. Within the framework of this anthology I was able to publish a scientific contribution for the first time.
