INFO

hi@lisa-leopold.com

As a curator, dramaturg, and yoga teacher, I work primarily in the field of contemporary dance and performance art in Berlin. Next to a BA in Theater, Film and Media Studies and a MA in Performance Studies, I have a practical background in dance as well as experience in production management, dance journalism, and dance research.

I see the interconnection between movement, body perception, and theoretical discourse as an essential one; which for me is inescapably linked to watching and experiencing art.

Seeing body and mind in interplay also guides me in my own work, as a curator, dramaturg and in writing about dance. It also has an inherent political dimension. Being - in one's own body in time and space - is a prerequisite for being present, for being able to raise one's voice and to act in the respective contemporary context.

In my opinion, current problems and threats can only be faced through acts of camaraderie, through respectful and responsible cooperation. Something which is found especially within the performing arts and in body & movement work.
